Man Dies After Jumping Before Moving Train, Woman Loses Both Legs In Bhadohi District News24 –


Uttar Pradesh: A shocking tragedy unfolded in the Uttar Pradesh Bhadohi district on Tuesday night, when a man was reportedly killed and a woman lost her legs after they jumped before a train. According to the Police, the deceased, identified as 28-year-old Rohit Kumar Yadav, and the woman, Kajal Gautam, who survived the accident, were residents of Sonhar Mahua Patti. They jumped in front of a moving train near Kandhiya railway crossing around 10 pm on May 20, 2025.

Eyewitnesses Say A Man And A Woman Moved Towards Railway Track

According to Local SHO Ramesh Kumar, eyewitnesses informed that the two were spotted getting off an auto-rickshaw. They slowly move towards the railway track, 100 metres away from the railway crossing near the Bhadohi-Varanasi border. Reports stated that Kajal Gautam was immediately taken to the Maharaja Balwant Singh Government Hospital, while Yadav was killed on the spot.

Woman’s Condition Remains Critical

She was referred to the trauma centre at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi. Her condition is said to be critical. Reports revealed that Yadav, who was already married and had two children, was believed to be in a relationship with Gautam for the past year. They both wanted to get married to each other against the wishes of their families.
