Witnessing the rising competition in the adventure biking segment in India Kawasaki has launched an all new variant of the Versys line up the Versys 300. The bike has its work cut out for it as it would have to go against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan450 and KTM 390 adventure. While the bike would have to go against such formidable competitors the Versys line up has been a prominent name in the motorcycle world already. And hence the new entrant in the Versys line up would surely be able to fulfill the demands of the market.

The Versys has been launched at Rs 2.85 Lakh Ex-Showroom and Rs 2.98 lakh Ex Showroom. The bike has been launched in two colours Candy Lime Green/ Metallic Flat Spark Black as well as a pearl Horizon White.

The Versys 3– follows the same design as seen on the global spec model. The bike has a tall windscreen and a fuel tank adapted to allow long highway rides with ease. To ensure that the riders do not experience any heavy wind blasts the bike has also been equipped with a semi fairing.

Features and Equipment

The Versys 300 has been equipped with 19 inch front and 17 inch rear wire spoked wheels. The ground clearance of the bike is barely 180mm and it further has an overall kerb weight of 185Kg. To ensure that the riders are able to commit to long highway drives with ease the riding triangle of the bike has been adapted. The mid-set footpegs, and wide set and raised handlebars make the bike an ideal choice for touring and off-road adventures.

Beyond the above mentioned features the Versys would also offer the users with further accessibilities such as an assist Slipper Clutch, Dual Throttle Valves and an Economical riding mode indicator. The Versys X 300 would share its engine with the Ninja 300, a 296 cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine that offers around 40 PS of power and a peak torque output of 26 Nm. The Versys-X 300 gets conventional RSU telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. To further ensure safety the bike also gets dual channel ABS as well.
