Salman Khan’s security has been increased after the death of his close friend Baba Siddiqui, who was a well known politician. He was the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and had served three terms as MLA from Bandra (East). Later, he joined the faction led by Ajit Pawar of the Nationalist Congress Party after leaving the Congress party.
He was also known for hosting Iftar party on Eid every year and was attended by several popular actors including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman. Baba Siddiqui was shot dead on October 12, 2024, by three assailants in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder and Mumbai Police later revealed Akashdeep Gill to be their prime suspect.
According to ANI, he was the logistics coordinator in planning the murder of Baba Siddiqui. However, gangster Anmol Bishnoi was the mastermind behind this. Salman Khan has also received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang several times.
