Tata Sierra New EV To Launch Soon: Here’s What We Know So Far!

Tata has been in the pursuit of revamping its line-up in the past few months, and it would be fair to say that the new Sierra would be an integral part of the overall revamping that Tata has been planning across its line-up. The Homegrown car maker is now planning to launch the all-new Sierra soon. While previously it was planned that the car might be launched as an EV, new updates have revealed that the car would be launched as a ICE vehicle meant for the users. 

Tata has been planning to revamp its old moniker just like that of the Tata Safari.  A concept of the Tata Sierra was showcased a few times at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Although Tata has not revealed any details about the new car, it has been spotted testing a few times under heavy camouflage.  A latest revelation by Vivek Srivastava from Express drives has revealed that the car would be launched this fiscal. 

Tata Sierra Design 

Tata has reinvented the new Tata Sierra with the new safety norms; manufacturing a vehicle with an extensive glass space could have been a formidable challenge for the manufacturer. But Tata has managed it brilliantly. The car has been given thick A and B pillars and a floating roofline along with a redesigned front fascia. The glass area has been increased without any compromise to the structural integrity of the vehicle. 

New Interior and Features 

While the dashboard design aligns with the design ideology of the current models a slew of patent filings have revealed that the design would be similar to older models. The new dashboard would include a centrally positioned Touchscreen infotainment system. The car would be equipped with the all-new 4-spoke steering wheel , and the interiors would have a layered design that flows elegantly from the top till the bottom layer. 

The Car would possibly be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, wireless audio, Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, voice-enabled features and auto climate control. The car would be equipped with 6 air bags, 360-degree camera and advanced level 2 ADAS features  with lane keep assist and automatic emergency brakes.
