The success of adventure bikes in the market has led to the creation of a new targeted rally biking segment that was unheard of in the Indian market a couple of years back. Witnessing such demand, top-tier manufacturers are planning and developing lighter, faster, and more capable off-road bikes that can easily help the users hit the offroad trails whenever necessary. These are a few bikes we believe will soon be launched in India.
Hero Xpluse Rally
Hero has recently showcased a new rally version of the Xpulse at a rallying event in Chandigarh. Hero had previously showcased no plans of launching any such bikes, but the recent outing seems to suggest that the brand might soon launch a new Rally focused Xpulse.
The Bike would have the same engine as that of the Xpulse 210, that is a DOHC 4V per cylinder engine. The engine would churn out 25 PS of power along with a peak torque of 20.7 NM. The bike would have a slipper clutch and a 6 speed gearbox. The vistas we could get of the bike revealed that the bike would have revised suspension with extended suspension travel, and beyond that the bikes would be given new more grippier tires as well.
Royal Enfield Himalayan Rally
Before being launched the bikes are taken through a lot of strenuous testing, It was on such a escapade that the new Himalayan rally was spotted in UK, by Motorcycle news .com. And one of the most interesting aspect of the spot was that coolant reservoir was possibly a bottle with a hose attached to it.
The Bike was spotted by a enthusiast in Lutterworth in Uk. That is not far away from where Royal Enfiled’s Uk technology center is based. The keen onlookers were able to recognize the bike from its stance as well as the badging near the engine crankcase. The Bike had 17 inch spoked rim at the rear with Ceat Rubbers all around. As per the spot the bike would have a upswept exhaust to help it off road, with a chunky heel plate. The bike has chunkier upside down forks up front with a massive chassis mounted monoshsock that might be adjustable. The rear monoshock extends all the way from the swingarm till the chassis frame of the bike. The Monoshock would probably have adjustment for preload and rebound. The fuel tank is similar to that of the Himalayan, since the bike has been purposefully built to provide for the off-Roading fun.
