Royal Enfield To launch Two New EV Bikes Soon? Flying Flea EV Variants Revealed! News24 –

Royal Enfield has gained a formidable presence over the years thanks to its unique proposition to provide each offering with a blend of powerful performance and advanced features. The brand has been planning to launch a slew of new entrants next year as well. The Flying Flea, a moniker that saw its first outing during the great war, is now being brought back to life in an EV avatar. The Bike was often the go to vehicle for mobility behind the enemy lines by Soldiers.

But this time around instead of a small engine the bike would be powered by an EV powertrain. In an interview with Autocar professional brand officials revealed that FF-C6 and S6 are the two models that are currently in the testing phase under the Flying Flea Moniker. The senior official from Royal Enfield further revealed that Royal Enfield would be launching the first two motorcycles under the Flying Flea Moniker. These would include a classic Styled FF-C6 classic styled bike or a Scrambler Styled FF-S6. These two monikers were showcased at Milan EICMA last year.

The Flying Flea would be focused towards Urban focused mobility within the city. The Inspiration from the Flying Flea that was launched in 1940 dictates that the new bike is a small, lightweight, purpose built motorcycle built for military use during world war 2.

Royal Enfield is leaving no stones unturned to ensure that the first EV bike from the brand is able to provide users with the right range and features. To ensure optimum production Royal Enfield would be manufacturing the first set of its electric vehicles in the Oragadam Facility. Beyond that, Eicher has also acquired around 10% stake in Spanish high -performance electric motorcycle maker Stark Future, with the plan of co developing its electric motorcycles.

The vehicle was previously showcased at CES and now has been launched in India. The bike is being hailed for the technological advances from Snapdragon that have been instilled in the bike.

The Flying Flea

The Flying Flea is one of the first motorcycles to integrate such technology via the Snapdragon Car To Cloud Platform. Mario Alvisi, The Chief Growth officer of Royal Enfield spoke on the matter. He talked about how most of the tech that goes in the Flying Flea has been developed by Royal Enfield themselves but the integration of the Snapdragon Qualcomm technologies is a significant step towards the future of the company. Such a step as per,Mario Alvisi would help the brand bring a unique and differentiated product experience.

CES’s New Innovation The Snapdragon QWM2290 SoC

The QWM2290 SoC has been specifically designed to support EV two wheelers. The chip would play an integral role in empowering the vehicle control unit, running an inhouse operating system developed by flying flea. Such advanced integration and operating system allows the user to manage all aspects of their bike and its ride through the interactive true round TFT cluster.
