Early Life And Education
Yogi Adityanath was born as Ajay Singh Bisht on June 5, 1972, in Panchur village, located in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. He is the fifth of seven siblings: four brothers and three sisters. His father’s name is Anand Singh Bisht, and his mother’s name is Savitri Devi. He received his early education in Pauri and later graduated from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna University.
Spiritual Transformation And Entry Into Public Life
For higher education, he came to Gorakhpur, where he became actively involved in the Ram Mandir movement. In 1993, he turned his attention away from studies, and in 1994, at the age of just 22, he took initiation from Mahant Avaidyanath of Gorakhnath temple and took sanyaas.
After taking sanyaas, Yogi Adityanath never celebrated his birthday himself, but every year, lakhs of supporters and followers celebrate his birthday with enthusiasm.
Political Journey
Yogi Adityanath won the Lok Sabha election for the first time in 1998. After this, he also won the Lok Sabha elections in 1999, 2004, 2009, and 2014. In the year 2017, he became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of the country.
