The Test series between India and England that will commence from June 20 and will now be called as Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy, named after two cricketing legends, India’s batting legend Sachi Tendulkar and English speedster James Anderson, according to the BBC. Both the cricketers have been honoured with such a prestigious honour. The series has been called as Pataudi Trophy.

This trophy is named after two of the greatest players in Test cricket history:
- Sachin Tendulkar from India, who is the highest run-scorer in Test matches with 15,921 runs. He played 200 Tests between 1989 and 2013.
- James Anderson from England, who is their top wicket-taker and holds the record for the most wickets by a pace bowler in Test cricket, with 704 wickets.
Tendulkar and Anderson played 14 Test matches against each other. Anderson dismissed Tendulkar 9 times, more than any other bowler.
