Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav escaped a car accident by a whisker on a Saturday morning when two of his convoy vehicles were rammed by a speeding truck near Goraul in Vaishali district, while he was on his way back to Patna after a political rally in Madhepura.

Tejashwi Yadav had gone to meet them after the accident, according to reports, he inquired about their health and was concerned about their injuries. The three are injured officials are now stable, although they had received serious bruises and small fractures.
The truck driver was arrested on the spot by the local police after the accident, and his truck was taken into custody. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities. Some reports also say that the driver lost control because he was speeding or drowsy, but an investigation is being conducted to know the actual reason.
This mishap has once again raised fears about the security of political functionaries for long-distance travel on Bihar roads, particularly late in the night. RJD activists went into social media frenzy, thanking God that Yadav was safe, while others demanded greater road safety and improved enforcement of traffic rules.
Party leaders have called for a thorough investigation into VIP security protocols on the road, particularly in conditions with poor visibility and road manners.
