Diversions Near IG Stadium On June 8 – Check Timing And Affected Routes News24 –

Delhi: If you are planning to step out on Sunday, your commute might be affected near IP Marg, Vikas Marg and Ring road. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory stating that traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place on June 8. The curbs have been announced in view of the “Sagar Wali Qawali Bharat Tour Delhi” at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. The restrictions will be implemented from 12:00 pm to midnight. Key routes that will be impacted include IP Marg (MGM Road), Vikas Marg, and Ring Road (Rajghat to IP Depot).

Delhi Traffic Police informed about the restrictions through a post on X, advising commuters to plan their journey accordingly. It wrote, “In view of the “Sagar Wali Qawali Bharat Tour Delhi” at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium (Main Arena KDJW), traffic restrictions & diversions will be in place on 08.06.2025 (Sunday) from 12:00 PM to Midnight. Key stretches like IP Marg (MGM Road), Vikas Marg, and Ring Road (Rajghat to IP Depot) may be affected.”

Traffic Restrictions & Diversions

According to Delhi Traffic police, need-based diversions/restrictions will be imposed in and around the stadium from 12:00 pm to 12:00 midnight.

Movement of heavy vehicles and buses will be restricted on the following roads:

IP Marg (MGM Road)

Vikas Marg

Ring Road – from Rajghat to IP Depot

Routes To Avoid:

IP Marg (MGM Road)

Vikas Marg

Ring Road (Rajghat to IP Depot)

Parking Arrangements:

Delhi Traffic Police has also informed about parking arrangements. It stated that limited parking is available near the stadium for vehicles with valid parking labels. Display of the parking label on the windscreen is mandatory, and the vehicle number must be written on the label. Moreover, entry to parking lots is permitted only via MGM Road (Ring Road).

It is important to note that no vehicles will be allowed to park on Ring Road from Rajghat to I.P. Flyover (both carriageways).
