Hyundai’s Next Launch To Replace Hyundai i20? Launch Details And Plans Revealed! News24 –


A recent update has revealed that Hyundai has been planning to develop its all new Hybrid engine in India and beyond that it has been planning to power the its all new Compact SUV with the new engine. The Bayon is a global model that would be built on the same platform as that of the i20. The car would compete against the likes of Suzuki Fronx and other rivals that exist in the Indian Market. 

Hyundai Bayon Engine and Gearbox 

The new Engine that Hyundai has been developing would slot between the already existing 1.0 litre turbo petrol as well as the 1.5 litre Turbo Petrol engine. The 1.2 litre engine would be able to offer greater torque and performance than that of the 1.0 litre unit ,whilst being more compact and fuel efficient than that of the 1.5 litre Turbo Petrol. The Engine is already being engineered to be able to be equipped with a Hybrid powertrain as well.  It’s possible that the new engine might be equipped with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol Engine that would include an automatic or an e-CVT depending upon the use case. 

Hyundai Bayon Exterior Design 

The Suzuki Bayon’s styling closely resembles that of the Verna. The split headlight setup comprising an LED strip on the bonnet and angular main units underneath give it the same enticing look as that of the Verna. The car would feature a Honeycomb patterned air dam, with an all new silver trim and black plastic cladding that wraps all around the bonnet. He Beyond would be equipped with 31 inch Diamond cut alloy wheels and several cuts and creases. 

The Interior would feature familiar Hyundai equipment’s that include a 10.25 inch infotainment touchscreen, a similar size driver display, HVAC control system. Safety equipment’s would include fast charging USV Type Ports, Ambient lighting, ADAS an 8 speaker Bose sound system, and more. The Bayon would get a 411 – litre boot.  Since the car would be equipped with the all new 1.2 Litre GDI 4 cylinder petrol engine it would be placed over the existing i20. Hyundai has showcased no impetus to replace the vehicle with the all new i20.
