IMD Weather LIVE Update: Several regions are likely to witness the wrath of heat accompanied by dusty winds in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a Yellow alert for a heat wave over Delhi from 9th to 11th June. Residents must brace themselves as clear skies and strong surface winds are expected across the NCR during this week.

The other affected places, likely to face harsh and scorching heat ahead, include West Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, South West Uttar Pradesh during 9th-11th; East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan on 9th & 10th; North Madhya Pradesh on 10th & 11th June. Meanwhile, residents in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal will experience hot & humid conditions today, and Bihar till 10th June.

IMD has forecasted a mix of rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over the coming week. Intense downpour is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe during 10th-14th; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema during 11th-14th; Karnataka during 12th-14th; Lakshadweep on 13th & 14th. Notably, Northeast India will continue to receive torrential rain over the next 7 days with extreme influence in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
