Veteran filmmaker Partho Ghosh passed away on Monday morning at the age of 75. As per reports, he died due to heart related complications. He is known for successful movies like 100 Days, Teesra Kaun, Agni Sakshi and many more.
According to reports, Rituparna Ghosh confirmed the demise of Partho Ghosh and expressed her grief. She said, “Heartbroken beyond words. We have lost an exceptional talent, a visionary director, and a kind soul. Partho da, you will always be remembered for the magic you created on screen. Rest in peace.”
He started his career as an assistant director and got his big break in 1991 with the movie ‘100 Days’. He then directed Dalaal in 1993, which also became a huge hit. He wrote and directed more than 15 films.
He last directed ‘Mausam Ikrar Ke Do Pal Pyar Ke’ in 2018. Partho Ghosh is survived by his wife, Gouri.
