Two New Underpasses Planned on Noida Expressway; Rs 180 Crore Projects to Ease Traffic Near Sultanpur, Jhatta News24 –


Noida which is going to get various infra projects in coming months, has got another project near the Greater Noida Expressway. About 15 companies have submitted their proposals for the construction of two new underpasses near Sultanpur and Jhatta villages on the Noida Expressway, the Noida Authority informed on Friday. According to the authority, the civil department will select one of these companies in the next two months.

The second underpass proposed near Jhatta village will be convenient for commuters from Sector-145 and 146 to Sector-155, 159 and Greater Noida. This area is surrounded by the campus of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and many IT companies and business complexes, due to which this project is considered very important. This 700 meter long underpass will be constructed at a cost of about ₹ 100 crore and it is planned to be completed in 1.5 years.

Officials also said that diaphragm wall technology will be adopted during the construction work, due to which traffic will have to be diverted to alternative routes.

Hindustan Times quoted Vijay Rawal, Chief Engineer of Noida Authority saying, “The Sultanpur village underpass will be built near Jaypee Wishtown in Sector 128 and will help commuters to Wish Town, Sultanpur, and sectors 128, 129, 105 and 108. The 700-metre underpass is projected to cost ₹80 crore, with a project deadline set at 18 months from the awarding of the contract.”
