Uttar Pradesh is going to get another gift in the form of an expressway. The Gorakhpur Link Expressway is all set to open on June 20. This newly built expressway will enhance the travel experience with high safety standards.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, a special fleet of security vehicles will be flagged off, which will include 5 Innova cars, 5 campers, 4 ambulances, 2 cranes, and 1 Hydra.
Rajesh Pandey, Nodal Security Officer of Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), mentioned that the Innova vehicles will be on patrol 24 hours a day, in which teams of ex-servicemen will be deployed for 8-8 hours duty. Ambulances and cranes will be deployed every 45 kilometers on this 91-km-long expressway, so that immediate medical assistance can be provided in emergencies. A Hydra vehicle will also be on standby on the entire route to remove heavy vehicles.
This expressway will not only make the journey fast and smooth, but will also set new standards in terms of safety, convenience, and emergency services for passengers. From June 20, this modern expressway will start a safe journey for the general public.
To further strengthen road safety, the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) is also being implemented, which will provide state-of-the-art monitoring facilities like the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. Under this system, CCTV cameras will be installed every 5 kilometers, which will be monitored from a centralized control room.
Apart from this, speed cameras and number plate readers (NPR) will also be installed, which will record information about violations of the rules. In case of exceeding the speed limit, information will be immediately sent to the ARTO of the concerned district.
