Mutilated Bodies Of Husband And Wife Found Near Indo-Pak Border In Rajasthan; Pakistani ID Cards Recovered- Here’s The Full Story News24 –

A shocking incident came to light on Saturday in Tanot police station area adjoining the Indo-Pak border in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, when the mutilated bodies of a young man and a young woman were found near the border. Security agencies have become alert after two Pakistani national identity cards were found from the spot.

Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Gaurav Chaudhary said that on June 28, information was received about two bodies lying about 15 km west of Gaje Singh’s well in Tanot area. When the police reached the spot, the body of a young man was found under a Kair tree. He was found wearing sky blue colored salwar-kurta, a yellow dupatta, a Samsung mobile phone and a jerrycan. Due to the jerrycan being kept on the faces, it was not possible to identify them immediately.

The body of a young woman was also found at a distance of about 50 feet from the body of the young man, who was wearing a yellow colored Ghaghra-kurta and had red-white bangles in her hands. Both the bodies were lying face down and it seemed that they were about 8 to 10 days old. They also had signs of decomposition.

Considering the incident as serious, FSL, MOB team and Jaisalmer Circle Officer reached the spot and started investigation. On searching the clothes of the youth, two Pakistani identity cards were found in the pocket of his kurta. The name written on the first card was Ravi Kumar son of Diwan ji (date of birth 03.01.2008) and on the second, Shanti Bai Kumar daughter of Gulu ji (date of birth 30.07.2010). ‘Pakistan’ was written on both the cards and the writing was in Urdu on the back.

Officers of the 26th battalion of BSF also reached the spot. Both the bodies have been kept in the mortuary of Ramgarh CHC, where post-mortem will be conducted by the medical board.

The administration is looking at this incident as a possible infiltration, criminal activity related to the border across or some deep conspiracy. Police and intelligence agencies are investigating from every angle. Photography and videography of the crime scene has been done and forensic evidence is being collected.

At present, efforts are being made to find out how this young man and woman reached India – whether they crossed the border illegally or were connected to some smuggling network. It is also a matter of investigation whether they were murdered and their bodies were dumped here.

Given the sensitivity of the case, the investigating agencies have intensified surveillance of the area and further legal action is underway.
