Sarzameen First Look Out! JioHotstar Unveils Teaser Featuring Prithviraj, Kajol; Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Intense Avatar Steals The Spotlight

JioHotstar has unveiled the first look of its upcoming patriotic film Sarzameen, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in lead roles. The film, produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s production house, will release on the platform on July 25.

On Monday, a powerful teaser of about a minute was released on YouTube. The video begins with the character of Vijay Menon, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran a tough and idealistic military officer for whom the country is supreme. Kajol, on the other hand, plays Meera an emotionally conflicted wife whose inner agony echoes the border conflict.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, who made his romantic debut with Nadaaniyan, will be seen in a completely new avatar this time. His character Harman’s rough tough look and armed style add to the intensity and tension of the film, especially the scene where he is seen pointing a gun at Prithviraj’s character.

The teaser is captioned, “Sarzameen ki salamati se badhkar kuch nahi (Nothing is more important than safety of the motherland).”

Set against the backdrop of the turbulence in Kashmir, the film delves deeply into the value of duty, sacrifice and familial emotions. While Vijay is protecting the nation, Meera is struggling to save her falling apart family. Harman’s character is caught in a mental and emotional turmoil, grappling with his past and complex realities.

The film marks the directorial debut of Kayoze Irani, who shared, “Sarzameen will always hold a special place in my heart, not just because it marks my first feature film as a director, but because it gave me the chance to tell a story that is both deeply intimate and profoundly intense.”

He also expressed gratitude to the cast, “Working with phenomenal artists like Prithviraj Sir, Kajol Ma’am, and Ibrahim each of whom brought such emotional depth and honesty to their performances has been nothing short of a privilege,” he added.
