Rajkot: In a shocking video going viral on social media, a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) car suddenly caught fire under unknown circumstances. The fire broke out near the pump area in Rajkot, Gujarat and no casualties have been reported so far. Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. The video of the car catching fire has gone viral on social media.
Authorities have not confirmed the cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway. A video of the burning vehicle quickly went viral on social media, drawing attention about CNG vehicles safety.
In another incident, an oil tanker caught fire on the Ambala-Chandigarh road near Lalru town of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar on Monday evening. Visuals showed flames emanating from the tanker on the road. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the situation was brought under control.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the Sigachi Pharma Industries explosion in Telangana’s Sangareddy district rose to 34, officials confirmed on Tuesday, as rescue operations continued at the site of the blast. According to officials, on Monday, over a dozen workers sustained injuries in an explosion at a chemical factory in Pasamailaram Phase 1 area of Telangana’s Sangareddy district.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in the explosion at the Sigachi Pharma chemical factory in Telangana’s Sangareddy district. The Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakhs for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
