Kia is all set to launch the all new Kia Carens EV in the upcoming days. The EV would be one of the First MPV EV in the market. As per the teaser the Clavis EV would be capable of delivering a range of around 490 KM. Kia would soon reveal the full details of the new EV MPV soon as revealed by the brand film. While Kia has been keeping the powertrain specs well hidden until the launch, here are a few leaks that have been able to reveal what would be the cars actual prowess.

Safety and ADAS Tech on Board
Since safety and technology would be a priority for the vehicle it would be updated with a Level 2 ADAS Suite featuring around 20 new autonomous functions. Standard safety equipment would include 6 airbags, ESC, Hill start assist and Down Hill Brake control, and all wheel disc brakes. The video has further showcased the interior of the vehicle as well. it seems that the EV variant of the Clavis would be based on top model of the Clavis. The teaser showcased premium cream leatherette with a floating dash design as well as a formidable headrest in the middle of the front two seats.
The car would further be equipped with a powertrain from Creta EV and offer two battery options such as a 42 Kwh and a 51.4 Kwh battery pack. The output of the battery pack would be around 171 Ps on the higher variant. Fast charging capabilities would allow 10-80% charge with in an hour, using the 50 KW DC charger. But since the Carens is being labeled to offer 490 km of range its possible that the battery of the Carens Clavis might have been upgraded to offer better range than the predecessor Creta EV.
