Karan Tacker Opens Up On Bonding With Anupam Kher During ‘Tanvi The Great’ Shoot- ‘It’s A Lot Of Fun Working With Him’

Karan Tacker will soon make his big screen debut with Anupam Kher’s directorial ‘Tanvi The Great’. The movie has become the talk of the town ever since its announcement, as Anupam Kher will return as the director after many years. Moreover, Tanvi The Great made waves at Cannes Film Festival as well, and Robert De Niro also attended the film’s premiere in New York. In an exclusive interview with News24, Karan Tacker talks about his experience of working with Anupam Kher in Tanvi The Great and how different he is as a director.

Karan only has praise for Anupam Kher’s skills as a director. He says, “He is very compassionate as a director because he’s an actor himself. He understands how to work with actors on set and how to get the best out of them. He helps you as an actor himself, and he’s very fun-loving. Given his own filmography spanning over four decades, he has done 300 or 500 films. He has so many stories that he can entertain you with on set all day, and he loves to talk.”

Sharing how he became a close friend of Anupam while working on Tanvi The Great, he reveals, “He’s become a very close friend of mine, and sometimes he even calls me affectionately and says, ‘Why haven’t you called me?’”

He adds, “He knows me so well, and our relationship is like that. It’s a lot of fun working with him, and we’ve had many conversations. He’s a very family-oriented person, so we have a strong connection on that level.”

Talking about his Cannes debut with the team of Tanvi The Great, Karan adds, “It was really exciting when I got to know that Tanvi The Great is going to be exhibited at Cannes 2025. With these experiences, it looks glamorous from the outside, and it feels very exciting. But in reality, it humbles you and makes you want to work even harder because you realise that it takes a lot of hard work to make the project successful. You get to see films from all around the world.”

Tanvi The Great will arrive in theatres on July 18.
