Uttar Pradesh: In a deeply disturbing incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district, a man allegedly killed his pregnant wife by beating her on Wednesday evening. The tragic event, which stemmed from a domestic fight, turned into a terrifying ordeal over excess salt in the food. The woman fell off the roof of the house and died after the assault.
The incident took place in Nagda Dhak village, where the man identified as Ramu attacked his 5-months pregnant wife, Brajbala, over the food she cooked, resulting in her death. Following the incident, she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but was later shifted to the Aligarh Medical College. Due to her critical condition, she couldn’t survive and succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment. After Brajbala’s death, her brother alleged that the accused had an extramarital affair with his sister-in-law, which led to frequent arguments between the couple.
Ramu, who had fled the scene, was caught outside the village and handed over to the police on the same night the crime took place. According to Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Bharti, a case has been filed at the Police Station against Ramu, and a probe is underway. Meanwhile, Brajbala’s body has been sent for post-mortem. Further details are awaited.
The incident has sparked serious concerns regarding domestic abuse issues and its far-reaching consequences. The impact not only affects the victim, but also affects children, families, and community as a whole.
