YEIDA Requests Allottees’ Construction Plans To Address Challenges And Accelerate Industrial Growth News24 –

In a fresh bid to accelerate industrial development around the Noida International Airport, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has requested that over 1,200 industrial allottees, residential plot owners, and lease deed holders share their detailed construction plans.

The move is aimed at accelerating industrialization in the Yamuna Expressway area, where development has remained slow despite the large-scale allotment of land to domestic and foreign companies.

However, the entrepreneur’s body has said that seeking construction deadlines from plot owners without providing basic infrastructure is not practical. Hindustan Times quoted YEIDA chief executive officer (CEO) R K Singh, saying, “Our aim is not to put pressure on companies but to establish dialogue, understand their challenges, and address reasons for construction delays. It is important for the authority to know what is holding them back to ensure timely development.”

So far, YEIDA has allotted over 3,041 industrial plots, signed lease deeds with around 1,836 units, and handed over possession to around 1,235. Besides, YEIDA has also registered at least 10,000 plots, but very few have started construction work.

Rishabh Nigam, president of Yamuna Expressway Udyam Sangh, said, “It is not logical to ask for construction plans or flow charts from plot owners without providing basic amenities like drainage, water supply, roads, sewage network. YEIDA should first focus on the necessary infrastructure and then motivate plot owners to construct buildings and obtain functional certificates.”
