Hyderabad: An Air India Express flight en route to Phuket, Thailand, from Hyderabad returned to its base at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday morning, just minutes after takeoff. According to reports, the flight took off at 6:40 AM and was expected to land in Phuket at 11:45 AM, but had to make a U-turn due to a technical snag.

Flight IX110, operated by a Boeing 737 Max 8 (registration VT-BWA), departed approximately 20 minutes later than its scheduled time of 6:20 AM, according to data from FlightRadar24. The reason for the turnaround is yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the Airline and airport officials have not issued any official statement as of now.
