Search Continues For Boy Who Fell Into Open Sewer In Delhi’s Vasant Kunj News24 –


A boy fell into an open sewer in the Vasant Kunj area of Southwest Delhi on July 31. The authorities launched a search operation, which was still underway for over 24 hours. The rescue teams were working tirelessly to locate him.

According to The Indian Express, divers from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were deployed to rescue the boy. Personnel from the Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Services were also at the scene, actively assisting in the rescue effort.

Police said a few local children saw the boy falling into the open drain in West Delhi’s Rajouri, and authorities were alerted at 1:24 PM.

A team from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), including an officer-in-charge and three divers, was on-site to support the operation. Additionally, officials from the Municipal Corporation and four sanitation workers were deployed to aid in the rescue mission.

An earthmover was also designated to clear sewage and debris to ease the operation further.
