Acharya Prashant’s Video Goes Viral After Political Rivals Post It On X Ahead Of Bihar Elections News24 –

As Bihar prepares for its November elections, political parties are actively engaging with the public through various platforms. Bihar Congress recently shared a video of Acharya Prashant on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. It featured part of his speech on Mahatma Gandhi, recalling his strength during the freedom movement and the enduring influence he still carries today.

During the peak of the 2024 campaign, Acharya Prashant had participated in an interview conducted by NDTV at IIT Delhi, his alma mater. Among other questions, he was asked what message he had for first-time voters, including which party they should choose.

He replied: “Think critically and vote carefully. Don’t be swayed by those who keep you busy with trivialities. Study the manifestos and choose the ones that address India’s real issues.” He argued that the climate crisis was a more pressing concern than communal issues and that education outweighed sensationalism.

Following the interview, Congress posted a clip of his statement on X, and it went viral. On the same day, the BJP shared another segment from the same speech on its official handle. Both parties highlighted different parts of the same message that aligned with their respective narratives. This sparked conversation online, as it was unusual for both major parties to reference the same speaker in this way.

While Acharya Prashant did not express support for any political party, his words were interpreted and shared in different ways by various groups.

The post by the Bihar Congress is one of several instances where his messages have found space in political conversations. However, Acharya Prashant’s engagement has not been limited to elections. In the past, he has spoken on a variety of topics, including environmental awareness, education, and social practices.

Last year, on the invitation of leading animal rights groups, he travelled there to speak against mass animal killings at the Gadhimai festival. He urged people to reconsider these age-old practices, calling them rooted in misplaced notions and violence. According to the Animal Equality UK report, animal killings at the festival dropped by nearly half compared to the previous one.

Beyond these events, Acharya Prashant continues to share his ideas through books, talks, and online platforms, often focusing on topics related to personal growth and awareness. Through the PrashantAdvait Foundation, he continues outreach programs aimed at spreading awareness and guidance to diverse audiences.

While political parties and media outlets sometimes refer to his statements, Acharya Prashant maintains that he carries no partisan leanings.
