Since its box office release on June 27, F1: The Movie has broken worldwide box office records, collecting a whopping INR 4,800 crore globally, close to crossing the INR 5,000 crore mark. Because of mass popularity, the movie even received a re-release in early August, carrying its favorable box office momentum.

Plot & Star Cast

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, the movie features Brad Pitt playing Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver who comes back to the sport after decades, years after his career was cut short by a crash in the 1990s. His character is now set on reviving a struggling F1 team from the ashes. The film also includes Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Tobias Menzies, with producers Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer.

OTT Release Details

Viewers looking to view the movie online will not have long to wait. F1: The Film can be rented on Amazon Prime Video from August 22. It is subsequently set to stream on Apple TV+ – in all likelihood between late September and early October, though no official streaming release has been stated.

Even with the OTT release, F1: The Movie still plays in some premium theatres. In Mumbai, it’s playing in places like PVR ICON Goregaon, Phoenix Palladium, Metro INOX, and Infiniti Andheri. In Delhi-NCR, people can see it at Cinepolis Saket, PVR Noida, and Director’s Cut, Ambience Mall, in formats like Onyx and Dolby. In Bengaluru, the film has limited screenings at Garuda Mall and Forum Rex Walk.
