Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju took a sharp dig at Rahul Gandhi on Saturday. In an interview with ANI, the Union Minister claimed that Gandhi’s own party MPs grow uncomfortable when he speaks. Rijiju further alleged that the Congress Leader’s remarks amount to ‘nonsense’ and therefore the Congress MPs fear the party will have to pay a steep price.
“Rahul Gandhi kuch bolte hain, unke saare MPs bahot uncomfortable ho jaate hain. Wo darte hain ye anapshanap baatein karenge, uska khamiyaza party ko bhugatna padta hai,” Rijiju said. On Gandhi’s controversial statements involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Minister said that the Supreme Court scolded him when he called the PM ‘chor’.
Kiren Rijiju also pointed out that Rahul made controversial comments regarding the Rafael deal and China. “He should speak like an Indian. I am no one to improve Rahul Gandhi. He will not listen. In a democracy, the Opposition should be strong. They are not able to perform basic duties of an Opposition, let alone a strong Opposition,” he added.

Doubling down on his criticism, Rijiju accused Rahul Gandhi of ‘destabilising’ the country. He warned that the Congress leader is treading on a very dangerous path and that it could have far-reaching consequences.
“Rahul Gandhi is going on a very dangerous track. George Soros says that one trillion dollars are kept to destabilise the Indian government. The anti-India Khalistan force sitting in Canada, the US, the UK, and many Left organisations are conspiring to work against the country. Rahul Gandhi and Congress are working in coordination with them and weakening the country. This is very worrisome. But no one can destabilise the country under PM Modi’s leadership,” Rijiju stated.
He further pointed out that when Congress cannot win elections, it starts attacking the Indian government and the institutions to erode public trust. He said, “They have repeatedly said that the judiciary and the Election Commission are sold, to weaken them. When they conspire to weaken the nation and the credibility of the government, then that results in agitation… They are working with the Leftist mentality… Rahul Gandhi is going on a very dangerous track.” Rijiju’s statements against Rahul Gandhi have drawn serious backlash from the Opposition party members.
