IMD Weather Update: The entire country is expected to experience rainfall in the coming days, with a rainy spell likely to continue across several states. As the monsoon has intensified in all parts of the country, residents can expect showers for a few more days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its daily weather bulletin, has forecast a rainy day in several regions on Tuesday, August 26.
Delhi, North India On Alert!
An orange to red alert has been issued for moderate to intense spells of rainfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and north coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 3 hours (6-9 am).

The monsoon trough currently passes through Bikaner, Jaipur, Datia, Banda, Ranchi, Digha and east-southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal. An upper cyclonic circulation over south Haryana and adjoining northeast Rajasthan and the Western Disturbance that lies over Jammu and neighbourhood is set to influence the existing weather conditions.

IMD Weather Update: Rainfall Alert For These States
The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Heavy Rainfall is predicted over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Telangana, Uttarakhand and West Madhya Pradesh.
Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40kmph) is likely over Bihar, Gujarat State, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and Telangana.
Parts of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim will experience thunderstorm accompanied by lightning on Tuesday.
Forecast For South Peninsular India
According to the IMD, heavy rainfall will lash Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh during August 26-29; Coastal Karnataka until August 30. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana will witness heavy rainfall until August 27.
Delhi Weather Forecast
Delhi has been reeling under moderate to heavy rainfall since last week. The IMD forecast for the national capital today, indicates a rainy day with generally cloudy sky. The maximum temperature is expected to remain in the range of 30-32 degrees Celsius. Active monsoon conditions are likely to prevail over Delhi during next 5 days.
