Former VP Jagdeep Dhankhar Congratulates CP Radhakrishnan On Vice Presidential Win


Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday congratulated NDA nominee and Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan on winning the Vice Presidential Elections. Dhankhar said that CP Radhakrishna’s elevation to the esteemed august office reflects the trust and confidence of the representatives of our nation.

“Heartfelt felicitations on your election as the Vice-President of Bharat, the world’s largest democracy and home to one-sixth of humanity. Given your vast experience in public life, under your stewardship, the august office would certainly attain greater veneration and glory. On this momentous occasion, my best wishes for your successful tenure and for the service of our great nation,” Dhankhar wrote.

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nominee CP Radhakrishnan has been elected as the new Vice President of India with a total of 452 votes. He defeated the INDIA bloc candidate B. Sudershan Reddy in a closely watched contest on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The result marks a key victory for the NDA and a new chapter in Radhakrishnan’s long political career.

According to the Election Commission (EC), a total of 767 votes were polled, out of which 752 were found valid and 15 were invalid. The quota set to elect the winner was 377. The NDA’s candidate secured 452 votes, while the INDIA Bloc nominee got 300 votes.
