Finance Ministry official killed after BMW hits motorcycle in Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan; wife Critical News24 –


Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Navjot Singh was killed after being hit by a BMW in Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan area on Sunday. Singh, a resident of Hari Nagar was returning home from Bangla Sahib Gurudwara with his wife. His wife was also injured in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment. She is reported to be in critical condition. The accident occurred near Metro pillar number 57, on the stretch from Dhaula Kuan towards Raja Garden. The couple was riding a motorcycle when they were struck by a car.

As a result of the collision with the central verge, the injured persons were further thrown into a bus on their left. The accused are residents of Gurugram.

Delhi Police said, “A BMW car was found overturned on the road, and a motorcycle was found near the Metro pillar number 67, Dhaula Kuan. Eyewitnesses said a woman was driving the car, which hit the motorcycle. After this, she and her husband took a taxi and took the injured to the hospital. A call was received from Hospital, regarding one patient dead and another sustained injuries. The vehicles have been seized and the spot was examined by the crime team. FSL team also called at the spot. The alleged and her husband had also got injuries and are admitted to Hospital. Legal action is being taken.”
