Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar’s Purnea district on Monday to address a rally and launch development projects worth ₹36,000 crore. During his visit, he will inaugurate a new airport terminal in north Bihar, fulfilling the region’s long-pending demand for air connectivity. Another key highlight will be the launch of the National Makhana Board, announced in the Union Budget 2025, which aims to boost production, adopt new technology, improve processing and exports, and benefit Makhana farmers in Bihar and across India.
The Prime Minister will also take part in Griha Pravesh ceremonies for over 40,000 PMAY beneficiaries and distribute ₹500 crore to women’s self-help groups under DAY-NRLM. Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place, with vehicle movement on national and state highways suspended for 24 hours starting midnight Sunday.
