After Maruti Suzuki Fronx’s Export Success, Could The New Victoris Be Next? New Details Emerge News24 –
Maruti Suzuki’s recently launched Victoris is the brand’s answer to competitors such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. While domestic sales remain a key focus, Suzuki also seeks to gather extensive global sales from the model as it plans to export the vehicle to key international markets.
Suzuki’s Export Strategy
As of now, Maruti’s compact SUV offering, the Grand Vitara, is exported to around 60 countries. The Victoris will target a wider geography, covering more than 100 countries globally. The brand has similar plans for the e-Vitara, and its exports have already commenced.
According to media reports, shipments of the e-Vitara have been sent to 12 European countries, including the UK, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Hungary, Austria, Iceland, and Belgium. The Victoris will likely be exported to similar markets as well. In addition to Europe, the Victoris and e-Vitara will be sent to various other destinations across Asia, the Middle East, South and Central America, and Africa.
Growing Export Numbers
Recent trends have shown that India’s export-oriented production is on the rise, and Maruti’s share in exports is steadily growing. In August 2025, Maruti was able to export a total of 36,538 cars. This accounted for around 20% of the company’s total sales of 1.8 lakh units for the month.
In terms of overall car exports from India, Maruti’s share stood at 40% in FY25. With new models like the Victoris, Maruti is expected to further expand its export capabilities.
Maruti’s Global Export Lineup
Maruti is already exporting several of its models across global markets. The list includes cars like the Fronx, Jimny, Dzire, Baleno, Swift, Ertiga, Celerio, S-Presso, Eeco, Ciaz, Grand Vitara, Alto, Brezza, Ignis, XL6, and Wagon R.
Among these, the Fronx is currently Maruti’s most exported model, having recently achieved the 1 lakh export milestone. The Fronx is exported to over 80 countries, and soon, Suzuki plans to achieve similar numbers with the all new Victoris.
