Telangana: According to the state, September 17 will be celebrated as Vishwakarma Puja. Many schools and technical institutes, especially in Hyderabad and surrounding industrial areas, may remain closed.

Rajasthan: Vishwakarma Day is shown as a limited holiday in the state’s official calendar. Schools may remain closed at the decision of the district or school management.

Uttar Pradesh: 17 September 2025 has been declared a public holiday in this state. Schools, banks and some government offices will remain closed on this day.

Punjab and Haryana: Vishwakarma Jayanti is celebrated as a limited holiday in both the states. Schools may remain closed in selected districts.

Eastern and North-Eastern States (West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Tripura): Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm in these states. Schools, colleges and many workplaces remain closed on this day.
