Noida International Airport set for October launch, fly direct to these 7 cities from Jewar News24 –


The much-awaited Noida International Airport (NIA) is finally set to be inaugurated on October 30, 2025. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu confirmed the launch date on Thursday, stating, “Within 45 days from that date, we can expect operations to begin.” Once operational, passengers from the National Capital Region (NCR), including Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad, will benefit significantly, as the Jewar airport will serve as an alternative to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).

Fly direct to these 7 cities from Jewar

Travelling from the NCR to cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, and Hubli will become easier with direct flight to these destinations. Reportedly, around 30 flights will operate from Noida Airport initially. Officials expect the new airport to significantly enhance connectivity in Uttar Pradesh and play a major role in reshaping India’s aviation landscape. India’s leading airline, IndiGo, is set to begin operating international flights from Jewar Airport.

IndiGo to operate flights to Dubai and Singapore

IndiGo Airlines will operate international flights from Noida Airport to Dubai, Zurich, and Singapore. Now, residents of the NCR will no longer need to travel to Delhi Airport to travel to these countries. This will also reduce passenger pressure at Delhi Airport and provide global connectivity to UP. The construction work of first of Noida Airport is in its final stage. The inauguration of this airport is set to ease the travel experience of people and provide convenience in air travel.

The airport will cater to residents of Noida, Greater Noida, adjoining areas, and even Delhi. It is expected to boost tourism, trade, and commerce in the region. The Jewar airport will offer an alternative to Delhi’s IGI Airport, allowing passengers to board international flights directly from Noida.

The project was announced in 2021 and is constructed in Jewar of Gautam Buddha Nagar district. The first phase of the airport will feature one runway and one terminal, with the capacity to handle traffic of 12 million passengers annually. Upon completion of all four development phases, the airport will be able to cater to 70 million passengers per year.
