As part of a major infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh, a modern, high-quality expressway is soon to be completed, boosting connectivity in the region. Imagine halving your travel time, traveling on a smooth, modern four-lane road, and reaching Aligarh from Agra in just one hour. This dream is soon to come true with the Agra-Aligarh Greenfield Expressway.
This new 65-kilometer-long expressway is under construction, reducing the travel time between Agra and Aligarh to just one hour, less than half the current travel time. The project, named the Agra-Aligarh Greenfield Expressway, is estimated to cost approximately Rs 1,536.9 crore and is expected to make travel in Uttar Pradesh faster and more seamless. This expressway will be a modern four-lane road, providing comfortable and fast travel for travelers and tourists. The people of Aligarh and Hathras will benefit the most from it.
Upon completion, the first phase will be 28 kilometers long, connecting National Highway 509 in Aligarh to Asroi village near Hathras. Additionally, the expressway will connect to the Bareilly-Mathura Highway and the Agra-Noida Yamuna Expressway. The first phase will connect the 28-kilometer route to National Highway 509 at Asroi village. In the second phase, the road will extend to Khandauli in Agra, where it will connect to the Yamuna Expressway. This expressway will greatly facilitate travel for tourists visiting Agra, especially those visiting the Taj Mahal. People in Aligarh will also have a faster route to Delhi and Noida, simplifying daily and long-distance travel.
Travel Time Reduced to Just 1 Hour
This upcoming expressway will reduce the travel time between Agra and Aligarh from the current two hours to just one hour. This will be a major relief for local residents, daily commuters, and tourists. Students and professionals will be able to easily access Aligarh’s colleges and industries, while tourists will enjoy easy and comfortable travel to Agra’s famous landmarks like the Taj Mahal.
All types of travelers, including students, professionals, daily commuters, and international tourists, will benefit from this expressway. With improved access to Aligarh’s educational and industrial centers and a faster route to Agra’s historic Taj Mahal, this infrastructure project will revolutionize regional development and travel convenience.
