The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday announced by-elections to fill four Rajya Sabha Seats in Jammu and Kashmir and one seat in Punjab. The voting is scheduled to be held on October 24, 2025. The counting will also take place on the same day, an hour after polling ends. The four seats in J&K have been lying vacant since 2021.
Meanwhile, the seat in Punjab was vacant in July after the resignation of MP Sanjeev Arora.
