Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati sex scam: The nation was shocked when 52-year-old self-proclaimed godman and director of the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, was booked for allegedly sexually harassing girl students at his ashram in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj. According to the FIR filed in August 2025, multiple women students have accused the religious figure, also known as Partha Sarathy of harassment, coercion, and intimidation. He hails from Odisha.
He had been the Chancellor of Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasthanam Dakshinamanya Sri Sharada Peetham, a renowned management institute in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, for the past 16 years. However, under the guise of this prestigious position, he allegedly engaged in a despicable scheme of blackmail and sexual harassment against the girls studying at his own institute.
As evidence is being gathered, a red Volvo has also been recovered. The police found the car in the institute’s basement, fitted with fake diplomatic number plates. In addition, other fake diplomatic plates were discovered at the godman’s hideouts. This indicates that he was not only sexually exploiting girls but also using fraud to project false authority.
Officials say that WhatsApp messages show he allegedly addressed young students with terms like “Baby,” “I love you,” and comments on their appearance. According to the FIR, one student said the ordeal began soon after her admission in October 2024, when he summoned her before Diwali and looked at her in a “strange” and “demotivating” way.
Chaitanyananda Saraswati is accused of installing hidden cameras in his hostel rooms, using them to capture the girls’ private moments. He not only secretly viewed these images but also used them to blackmail them.

He used to send secret, obscene messages to female students on WhatsApp and invite them to his room alone at night. He threatened to ruin the careers of girls who did not respond to his messages or refused to come to his room. Several girls at the institute have complained about Baba’s dark deeds in their statements.
Chaitanyananda called several students of the institute to his room and lured them with the promise of taking them abroad. He told the girls that if they agreed to go abroad with him, they would receive all the comforts, pass the exams with good marks, and they would not have to spend a single penny. Baba threatened that if they refused, he would ruin their careers.

The girls have identified three to four women, including the hostel’s lady warden, who assisted Baba in his illicit activities. Some female employees at the institute, following Baba’s instructions, would intimidate girls into going to his room. To protect Baba Chaitanyananda from being caught, they would personally enter the girls’ rooms and delete any inappropriate messages he had sent from their mobile phones.
