Aircraft skids off runway at Amreli Airport in Gujarat, trainee pilot escapes unharmed News24 –

A single-seater trainer aircraft skidded off the runway while landing at Amreli airport in Gujarat on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, the trainee pilot on board was unharmed, officials confirmed. The aircraft belongs to a private aviation academy operating out of the Amreli airport, said Amreli Collector Vikalp Bhardwaj.

“The trainer aircraft skid off the runway soon after the plane landed at the airport. It ran into the unpaved portion along the runway due to unknown reasons. While the aircraft sustained some damage, the trainee pilot escaped unhurt,” Bhardwaj told PTI. He added that Civil aviation authorities will conduct further probe into the incident.
