No Power in Many Parts of Chennai on October 3; Full Shutdown List Here News24 –


TANGEDCO has announced there will be a power cut in some places on Friday, October 3, due to scheduled maintenance work. Power will be off between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm. If the work is finished ahead of schedule, the power supply will be turned back on sooner.

The Chennai suburbs of Porur: Karambakkam, Kandaswamy Nagar,Ponni Nagar, Arunachalam Nagar, Mothi Nagar, Padmavahy Nagar,Kaveri Nagar,Dharmaraja Nagar, Viswanathan Street, Bhiramanar Street.

Tamil Nadu Weather Update

The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) in Chennai reported that the Andaman Sea will have a new low-pressure area form on Wednesday triggering rain for Tamil Nadu and other states to the south in the days to come.

According to RMC sources, an atmospheric circulation is in evidence over Northern parts of the Andaman Sea and a new low-pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal and close by the northern Andaman Sea on October 2nd.

The system could become increasingly significant and possibly impact the weather across southern India.

The weather office reported that there also remains a vigorous area of atmospheric circulation over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal which are causing scattered rainfall with thunder and associated strong winds over several areas.
