Tangedco Announces Maintenance In Multiple Areas News24 –

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) declared a scheduled power cut in selected sectors of Chennai on tuesday. The electricity will be turned off from 9 AM to 2 PM to carry out necessary service maintenance. Officials indicated that power will be restored early if the service work is finished early.

Chennai Power Cut October 7: Sectors Affected

Multiple neighbourhoods across the city will lose electric service, including Pallavaram, Thirumullaivoyal, Mylapore, Poonamalle and Avadi.

– In Pallavaram, areas impacted include Durga Nagar, TNHB Colony, Chelliamman Koil Street and nearby roads.

– In Thirumullaivoyal, the outage will impact CTH Road, Cholambedu Main Road, Nethaji Nagar, Kalainjar Nagar.

– In Mylapore, the impact will be R.K. Salai, T.T.K. Road and nearby residential streets including P.S. Siva Swamy Salai, Veeraperumal Koil Street and Lloyds Lane.

– In Poonamallee, both By-Pass Road and Parivakkam Road are included.

– In Avadi the stages include Pondeswaram Kalaignar Nagar, Kovilpathagai Main Road and nearby neighbourhoods.

Tangedco suggested that residents prepare for the outage and complete necessary electrical tasks before the scheduled power cut.
