From pine trees turning pristine white to glittering rivers, the valley turns cinematic during winter. The snowy landscape will make you forget the Wi-Fi. If you are planning a trip to Kashmir, here are five perfect snowfall spots to visit between October and November.

Gulmarg

Gulmarg, the “Meadow of Flowers”, set against the backdrop of the Himalayan mountains, attracts millions of tourists every year. Its powdery snow views and stunning frozen lake Al-Pathar offer a magnificent experience. Gulamarg is popularly known as a skier’s paradise and is perfect for changing the minds of non-adventurers. One of the main attractions here is Gulmarg Gondola (the highest cable car in the world).

Sonamarg

Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, one of the major attractions of Ganderbal district. From Sonamarg, trekking routes lead to Vishansar Lake, Krishansar Lake, Gangabal Lake, and Gadsar Lake.

  • By Train: The Nearest railway station is at Jammu from Sonamarg.

Doodhpathri

Doodhpathri, or the Valley of Milk, is a famous hill station and tourist destination, located in Jammu-Kashmir’s Budgam district. Srinagar
