Kerala Lottery Result Wednesday Draw Declared

The Kerala State Lotteries Program is overseen by the Kerala Government. It was established in 1967 and is the first of its kind in India, working under the Kerala government’s lottery department. Following the prohibition of all private lotteries in 1967, the Kerala government established the Kerala State Lotteries. The new department was formed with the goal of creating jobs and increasing government revenue without upsetting the general population.

As of 2025, the department employs more over 500 individuals throughout 14 district offices, 21 sub-lottery offices, a regional deputy directorate in Ernakulam, and the directorate at Vikas Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. In addition, Kozhikode is home to the regional deputy director of the Audit Office. The department was initially placed under the Department of Finance but was later moved to the Taxes Department.

The Kerala State Lottery offers a variety of benefits. The GST received on lottery ticket sales has supported Kerala’s welfare programs. One of these is the Karunya plan, which provides financial support to state residents who are unable to pay for medical bills.

Over 27,000 citizens have benefited from it in its brief existence. The scheme’s major purpose is to provide financial assistance to Kerala’s disadvantaged population suffering from life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, hemophilia, kidney difficulties, and heart disease, as well as palliative care. The Kerala Lottery enables hundreds of families to escape poverty each month. Every day at 3 p.m., thousands of people wait for the results in the hopes of winning a lottery worth crore.

The Kerala State Lotteries include seven weekly lotteries, a monthly draw, and six bumper lotteries per year. The seven-weekly draw is held at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram, every day at 3:00 PM. In addition to the weekly lotteries, Kerala State holds several seasonal “bumper” lotteries, such as those for Christmas, summer, Vishu, monsoon, Thiruvonam, and Pooja. Today, April 24, 2025, the Karunya Plus KN-570 Lottery will be drawn at Gorky Bhavan, which is near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram.
