Bengaluru Road Rage: In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old delivery agent was killed in a road rage incident in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The incident occurred on the night of October 25 in the Puttenahalli area, when a couple allegedly rammed the man’s gearless scooter from behind with their car. The accused, identified asManoj Kumar and his wife, Aarti Sharma, have been arrested by the police.
Reportedly, the couple acted in a fit of rage after the delivery agent, identified as Darshan, accidentally brushed his scooter against their car, damaging the vehicle’s right-side rear-view mirror. Darshan was riding the vehicle and his friend Varun was seated behind.

Enraged over the incident, Manoj, the man driving the car, reportedly took a U-turn, chased the delivery agent, and ran him over with his vehicle. The tragic incident was captured on CCTV footage, which shows the couple chasing the two men on a scooter for nearly two kilometres before hitting them. As a result, Darshan was thrown on the other side of the road. He was immediately rushed to the hospital; however, he was declared dead upon arrival. A purported footage of the incident has been widely shared on the social media.
TOI quoted a senior investigating officer, who stated, “Losing control of himself, he took a U-turn, chased the scooter, and rammed it from behind. The impact threw Darshan and his pillion rider Varun onto the road. The car didn’t stop.”

Another Incident
Meanwhile, in another road accident reported from the national capital, car and a scooter struck each other hard in the collision. The car overturned and the two young people on the scooty suffered significant injuries as they tumbled onto the road due to the force of the impact. The incident occurred next to Pusa Road’s pillar number 96.
