Delhi AQI Today: Air Quality Improves Slightly, Dips to ‘Poor’ Category


Delhi AQI Today: Delhi and the neighboring NCR cities breathed a sigh of relief after the Air Quality Index improved slightly on Friday (October 31, 2025). The AQI was recorded at 258 under the ‘poor’ category at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. To combat deteriorating pollution levels, the Delhi government plans to carry out cloud seeding within the next 3 to 4 days when moisture levels reach 40 to 50% in clouds.

Delhi Weather Forecast For Next 6 Days

Several parts of the city saw clear clouds today, with improved visibility compared to recent days. There is no forecast for rain in the capital this week, but residents will see mostly clear skies with mist/haze prevailing over the city till November 3, 2025. Thereafter, Delhites will experience a partly cloudy sky with smog/hallow on November 5 and 6.

AQI In Other Areas Of Delhi Today

ITO registered a concerning AQI of 309 under the ‘very poor’ category this morning, while the air quality plummeted to 218 in India Gate and the surrounding areas. ‘Poor’ AQI of 269 was also recorded in Akshardham, as per CPCB.

AQI plunged to 184 in Jahangirpuri, while nsit Dwarka recorded an air quality index of 181 at 10 am on October 30. The other areas include Rohini (177), Wazirpur (203), Bawana (181), Vivek Vihar (387), Ashok Vihar (177), Sonia Vihar (185), Patparganj (174), Chandhi Chowk (90), Nehru Nagar (173), Siri Fort (176), Okhla Phase 2 (169), Lodhi Road 2 (150), Najafgarh (172), and Sri Aurobindo Marg (154).

GRAP II In Effect

In view of the deteriorating pollution levels, enhanced anti-pollution curbs were invoked under GRAP Stage II. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has deployed water sprinklers in several areas of the capital to combat pollution.

Delhi AQI: Check Forecast For Next Two Days

The decline in the air purity will continue, according to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi. The air quality is likely to be in the ‘very poor’ category until November 1, 2025. The outlook for the subsequent 6 Days shows the AQI in the ‘very poor’ category.
