A major train accident occurred this morning at Chunar railway station in Mirzapur. Five people were killed after being hit by the Kalka-Howrah Express train. According to media reports, the passengers who died had come to take a holy dip on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
All these passengers had come for the Karktik Purnima Bath and were victims of the accident due to getting off the train in the wrong direction. A heavy force was deployed at the spot, and relief rescue operations are underway. The Railway administration has ordered an investigation while an atmosphere of chaos prevails in the station.
