Greater Noida News: Travel between Greater Noida’s industrial sectors, Ecotech 10 and 11, is going to become much easier now. The 60-meter-wide road connecting the two sectors has been expanded from four to six lanes. This road also connects to the Integrated Industrial Township being developed under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) in Greater Noida. The six-lane road will benefit approximately 50,000 people.
No Traffic Jams
The road has been expanded to prevent traffic jams for heavy and light vehicles entering the industrial sector. The road width has been increased from 7.5 meters to 10.5 meters. The Authority’s Project Department has completed the work.
Rs 4 Crore Spent
According to reports, approximately Rs 4 crore has been spent on the construction of this nearly two-kilometer-long road. This road also connects to the 750-acre Integrated Industrial Township under development. The widened road will improve access to industrial units, and nearby villages, including Maincha, will also benefit directly. Pressure will increase after the airport becomes operational.
With the Noida International Airport becoming operational soon, road traffic is expected to increase. Therefore, road widening projects are being planned to meet future needs.
2-km service road also constructed
Narottam Singh, senior manager of the Greater Noida Authority, stated that a two-kilometer service road is being constructed to manage traffic in the industrial sector. This road will be connected to 60-meter and 45-meter wide roads. Drains are also being constructed for water drainage. Approximately Rs 2.5 crore is being spent on this project. He explained that industrial activity is rapidly increasing in Ecotech-10 and 11. Therefore, emphasis is being placed on improving infrastructure such as traffic, drainage, and connectivity.
