300 kg RDX and two AK-47s seized from doctor-turned-JeM operative News24 –


The Jammu and Kashmir Police have foiled a major terror plot following a series of coordinated raids. Acting on inputs obtained after the arrest of Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather, police recovered around 350 kilograms of explosives, two AK-47 rifles, and a large quantity of ammunition from Faridabad, Haryana.

Earlier, an AK-47 rifle and ammunition were also recovered from a locker linked to Dr. Adil in the Kashmir Valley. Based on the revelations of another detained doctor, whose identify has not been disclosed yet… police carried out operations that led to the recovery of the huge cache of arms and explosives.

Posters of JeM terror outfit appeared in Srinagar on October 27, following which police started investigating the matter. During the investigation, CCTV footage showed Dr Adeel pasting the posters.

On November 6, Dr Adeel Rather was arrested on charges of putting up posters in support of Militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) The accused Dr Adeel Ahmed, is resident of south Kashmir’s Qazigund , was arrested from a hospital in Saharanpur on Amabala Road.

On Saturday, Police raided GMC Anantnag and recovered 1 Ak-47 rifle from the Locker of Dr Adeel.

Dr Adeel was working at GMC Anantnag until October 2024 as Senior Resident.Following this Police arrested Dr Muzamil in the same case and his role into the investigation was revealed.

Police has now also raided the rented accommodation of Dr Mufazil Shakeel in Faridabad Haryana. As per sources, 300 Kg explosives, AK47 rifle has been recovered. However, he is evading arrest.
