Ten Terrifying Facts About the 2,500 Kg of Suspected Explosives Found at the J&k Doctor’s Home in Faridabad News24 –

Faridabad: In a shocking development, police have seized more than 2,500 kilograms of suspected explosives and a large cache of weapons from two rented houses in Faridabad, Haryana.

The houses were linked to Dr. Muzammil Shakil, a doctor from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, who worked at Al-Falah Medical College. The discovery has revealed a major terror module operating across Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Here are ten terrifying facts about the massive seizure at Faridabad:

Over 2,500 kg of Ammonium Nitrate Found

Police recovered 2,563 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, a chemical commonly used to make explosives, from a house in Fatehpur Taga village of Faridabad. The material was stored in large bags inside a rented property linked to Dr. Muzammil Shakil.

Second Cache of Explosives in Another House

Earlier, police had already found around 360 kg of explosives and a huge quantity of arms and ammunition in another house rented by the same doctor in Dhauj village of Faridabad.

Weapons and Devices Seized

During the raid, police seized a rifle, a pistol, 84 cartridges, 20 timers with batteries, walkie-talkie sets, and 14 bags containing chemicals. These items suggest plans for large-scale bomb-making activities.

Two Doctors from J&K Under Probe

The investigation revealed the involvement of two Kashmiri doctors Dr. Muzammil Shakil from Pulwama and Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather from Qazigund. Both are suspected of being part of a terror network connected to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH).

Woman Doctor from Lucknow Arrested

A woman doctor, identified as Dr. Shaheen, from Lucknow, was also arrested for her suspected role in the module. Her car, a Swift Dzire, was found with an AK-47 rifle in Faridabad.

Posters Linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed Sparked the Probe

The investigation began after posters supporting Jaish-e-Mohammed appeared in Srinagar on October 27, 2025. CCTV footage later showed Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather putting up the posters, which led to his arrest.

Arrests Across Three States

Police from Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, along with central agencies, conducted a coordinated operation. So far, eight people, including three doctors, have been arrested in connection with the case.

Explosives Stored for Months

According to police, Dr. Shakil rented the Fatehpur Taga property eight months ago from a local cleric. Investigators believe the explosives were stored gradually over time to avoid detection.

Owner of the Rented House Detained

The owner of the Fatehpur Taga house, identified as Maulana Istaq, has been detained for questioning. Police are trying to determine whether he was aware of the explosives stored on his property.

A Major Terror Module Busted

Officials say the seizure and arrests represent a major breakthrough in dismantling a terror module with roots in Kashmir and operations spreading to northern India. Investigations suggest that terror groups are now recruiting educated professionals, including doctors, to plan and execute their activities.

Ongoing Investigation

The seized materials have been sent for forensic testing to confirm the exact composition of the explosives. Police have tightened security in Faridabad and nearby regions as the investigation continues.

Authorities say the recovery of such a massive stockpile of explosives could have led to a large-scale disaster if not intercepted in time.
