Delhi Blast: At least 10 people were killed and nearly 24 were injured in a horrifying car explosion near Delhi’s iconic Red Fort on November 10, 2025. The historic structure was closed, and the Lal Qila Metro Station was temporarily shut down. A serious safety operation and anti-terrorism law inquiry were triggered by the Hyundai i20 car explosion that occurred close to the metro station at a red signal.

Red Fort Closed For 3 Days

In order to assist investigations and ensure safety, the Archaeological Survey of India has ordered the Red Fort to be closed from November 11 to 13. In order to reduce further risk, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation paused operations at the busiest Lal Qila Metro Station, while adjoining Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets, underwent temporary closures and heightened security.

CCTV Footage, Late Night Operation

Delhi Police teams conducted a late-night search for suspects in hotels in Paharganj, Daryaganj, and surrounding areas. The search teams looked through hotel record registers and CCTV video of the area of the explosion scene during the raids. CCTV footage from the Red Fort’s Sunheri Masjid parking lot, the Outer Ring Road, the Kashmere Gate-Red Fort route, and the Badarpur border, among other locations, was carefully reviewed. The reports claim that the car in question traveled from Haryana to Delhi via Badarpur.

Amit Shah, PM Modi Condemned the Explosion

The act was condemned by officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, while agencies looked into potential terror connections utilizing ammonium nitrate explosives. Delhi is still under high alert, and police have arrested several suspects.
