BJP has emerged victorious in the trends, and it seems these trends will be converted into seats with minimal changes of plus or minus, as TV reports are presenting on screens.
According to the Election Commission of India, the saffron party is leading on 85 seats, and it has become the largest single party in the trends. The party contested 101 seats, and leading on 87 seats shows that the people have shown their confidence in the Nitish-led government with even more trust.
BJP’s Deputy CM and party’s face Samrat Choudhary is leading from Tarapur by over 11,000 votes, while the other leader and Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Singh is ahead of his rival, INC’s Amarsh Kumar, by over 7,000 votes in Lakhisarai.
So, it is too early to decode the charisma and winning factor, but certainly the popularity of PM Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar has worked on the ground. The Prime Minister held 14 rallies in Bihar, while Home Minister Amit Shah addressed 36 rallies in the state.
The NDA’s manifesto offered many promises on unemployment, women’s empowerment, and social empowerment for backward classes.
The alliance promised in its manifesto over one crore jobs for the youth. It also promised financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh for women and to make one crore Lakhpati Didis. The NDA also promised to give Rs 9,000 annually to farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi.
So, if the trends continue in a similar pattern and the NDA wins, it would certainly leave a big question for the opposition, especially the RJD, which will have to go back to its strategy room for future elections.
